Besides the Supermarket and home-made treats...
I have loved seeing how God ties sweet things together. International Teams and CRWM. Canada and Uganda (even Kenya).
A few weeks ago, some Kenyan friends, who serve with CRWM, came to speak at my Dad's church. For a few days we hosted them and shared stories from three countries. We all had a good laugh when both men dressed up in bright shirts for the church potluck and presentation. :) And I was able to lead the singing - Mwamba, Mwamba (My Rock, My Rock) in Swahili.
I am grateful for unity in heart, purpose, and vision.
One last treat was seeing how Kuyper College - my alma mater - still has a special place in my heart. First, I had four years of a rewarding education there. Then, there are still staff and faculty who care about how God is using me and who want to meet with me whenever I come to Grand Rapids. Third, the new Provost used to be a colleague of mine from the Philippines... and God still continues to give me simple treasures and pleasures.
Oh ya, speaking of fun meetings... one of the MK's (missionary kids) that I used to tutor in the Philippines met me for dinner the other night. He wanted to hear about my life in Soroti. Yeah!
God weaves such a beautiful tapestry. I can't wait to see the final picture in glory!
